This method is suitable for new website owners. It is also straightforward to
complete. You have to use your IP address to log in to cPanel.

example of how your website’s IP address is going to look is

Is cPanel necessary for
WordPress?
According to A2hosting, cPanel is now one of the most popular hosting control panels. It has matured over two decades, and the software is often noted for its efficiency and extensive management capabilities.
cPanel is a user interface that is very compatible with WordPress. However, it is not compulsory as they are other alternatives that can do the job. All content management systems (CMS) like WordPress need a tool for easy administration and handling of file transfers
cPanel can manage your websites, and domains, organize your files, create business email accounts, etc. This function makes it essential to content management systems and website builders. WordPress as a CMS has a convenient workflow when you use it with a cPanel. But there are other options you could also explore for a secured website experience.
Do all WordPress hosts use
cPanel?
cPanel is an effective tool for managing website hosting. Although not all WordPress hosts use cPanel, it is a standard tool used for WordPress-hosted websites. cPanel is very famous among WordPress users as it offers many easy-to-use tools and other significant functions.
Want to know why cPanel is the best option for
managing the WordPress content management system?
It provides good integration with cPanel because of some of the following advantages;
- cPanel installs WordPress on your server
- It creates backups for your files.
- It helps you manage your file transfer protocol (FTP)
- Provides security (SSL certificate)
- Administrates your website’s Email accounts
- Maintains your MySQL database
The above features are some of the services cPanel offers to your website. cPanel makes the user interface simple and manages many functions and easing the burden off website builders. This capability is the reason why it is widely used as a management tool.
How does a cPanel Dashboard look?
The cPanel does not have a single dashboard appearance. WordPress as a host can have a unique cPanel dashboard appearance. But cPanel does not only manage one type of host. The appearance of a cPanel dashboard depends on the host.
Is cPanel
safe?
If there is a very safe and secure platform for managing your Content management systems, it is through cPanel. The provision of a firewall, PHP, secure SSH, web servers, and SSL accommodates a vast security network.
After securing the hosting for your website, you can install an SSL security
certificate that will provide a more secure experience for users. The
installation process depends on the hosting company as some hosts automatically
install SSL certificates. However, I will show you how you can install a free
SSL certificate with a WordPress host.
- Go to cloud flare and set up a free SSL
- Enter the URL of your WordPress website
- Select a free plan
- Change the name server on your cPanel and direct them to Cloudflare

- Install the required plugin on your WordPress Admin Dashboard (Cloudflare
Flexible SSL). Alternatively, you can install the HTTP redirect plugin and
enter your website as the ‘host.’
Click on ‘save.’
Your site is now secured.
How does a cPanel work with WordPress?
A cPanel can manage a lot of functions with your websites. I have explained some of the key ways it functions below.
WordPress
Installation
Installation of WordPress most times will require knowledge of File transfer protocol (FTP) or Phpmyadmin. Without this knowledge, it would not be easy to install WordPress. However, cPanel’s management technology makes installation less technical. In five to ten minutes, you can complete installation to any host of your choice.
This process is simple, and you can follow the steps I provided in this
article to complete the procedure. You do not need any technical knowledge as
you can complete WordPress installation on the cPanel with a few simple steps
Backup your
files
Although hosting platforms are responsible for providing your storage, cPanel can help back up your files. If there is an error or unusual occurrence on your site, you can be sure of restoring your previous data.
However, this feature can not help you back up the content on the pages of
your website. It is primarily relevant for your files and configurations.
You can complete the backup process in two ways; manually or with a tool
known as ‘backup wizard.’ They both achieve the same functions, and it is
advisable to use any of them.
There are two types of backups you can complete; Partial and Full backup. Partial backups involve restoring information like; Home directory, MySQL, Email forwarders, etc. On the other hand, Full backup archives all the configurations on your website.
Email
accounts management
You can create multiple email accounts for your business and websites. cPanel allows you to add and delete email accounts. You can also modify your details and information in any of the email accounts.
This feature is suitable for building email lists. The email account can
assist you in communicating with your website subscribers. You can also quickly
sign up to email service providers to send email automation and send bulk
emails. The functionality of creating an email account can provide various
options for website users.
Secure your
site
I mentioned earlier how cPanel could help you ease the installation of an SSL certificate. This feature is one of the most important when it comes to website management. An SSL certificate gives added security and privacy to your website.
This tool can help you secure users’ credit cards and other
confidential details on your website. Although the free version of an SSL
certificate can do a good job, a paid version is more effective.
Companies and small businesses usually pay to access SSL plans that are more
effective in securing their websites.
